The Pansand Resort is

a beautiful Thai island in
the Andaman Sea.
Koh Bulon-Lae is one of
the islands of the Petra
National Park archipelago.
It is situated off western Thailand’s southernmost
province, Satun.

The Koh Bulon-Lae fishing
village of about 100 Chao Lae people, “Sea Gypsies”, is located at Panka Bay, on the west side of the island.
The village, a 15 minute walk from the Pansand, is reached by a trail crossing through the island’s ancient forest.
This path, leads up and over the hilly central island, passing through lavish vegetation.

TRAVEL TO AND FROM THE ISLAND
The public ferry boat—operated by the Pakbara Boat Association—which daily transports passengers to the island of Bulon-Lae with 2 types of boat (slow boat or speed boat), leaves Pakbara pier (10 kilometers from the town of Lagnu) at 12:30 (1:30 P.M.) o’clock. The cost is 350 baht.

Because “shopping” options on the island are limited,
guests may want to consider bringing along any of the items
listed below. However, Pansand guests are advised to leave
behind worries and concerns.

The southern city of Trang, though not a “tourist town”, warmly welcomes visitors—including those traveling to or from the Pansand Resort. Known as the “cleanest city in Thailand”, Trang is 110 kilometers (about 68 miles) north of Pakbara pier.
