TRAVEL TO AND FROM THE ISLAND
(Season:Nov.'07-April '08)
The public ferry boat—operated by the Pakbara Boat Association—which daily transports passengers to the island of Bulon-Lae, leaves Pakbara pier (10 kilometers from the town of Lagnu) at 13:30 (01:30 P.M.) o’clock. The cost is 700 baht, roundtrip (This price is not include the long-tail boat transfer coast 30 baht-person from Ferry boat to the island).
The ferry trip takes approximately 90 minutes. Advance reservations are not needed. People unable to catch the ferry can hire a longtail boat in Pakbara.
The new route between Koh Lanta-Koh Hai-Koh Mook-Koh Bulonlae and Koh Lipe is also available in this season.

The Pansand Resort’s cruise boat, the “Sirinavy”, can be chartered to ferry individuals or small groups (up to 20 people) to the island. To make arrangements, please contact us at least a week in advance.
Because the island has no piers, be prepared to step into the surf upon arriving at Koh Bulon-Lae—when leaving the longtail boat which shuttles passengers from the ferry to shore. If appropriate, special disembarking arrangements can be made in advance.
From Trang, to reach the daily Pakbara ferry, at least one day ahead book passage on the minibus which daily travels from Trang to Pakbara pier, a 110 kilometer drive (about 68 miles). The air-conditioned minibus can be booked by the Trang Pansand office (First Andaman Travel International Co., Ltd.), at 84 Visetkul Road, across from the Queen Hotel. The minibus departs from the Pansand office at 11:00 A.M.; cost is 150 baht per person, one way. Only if space is available, can this minibus provide same day service.

If traveling from the city of HadYai, air-conditioned minibuses depart from a location one block from the Siam City Hotel, toward the railroad tracks. Allow 90 minutes for this minibus trip, which leaves HadYai daily at various times, depending on availability. Cost is 80 baht per person, one way. Advance reservations are not needed.
In the alternative, a taxi can be hired to make the trip to Pakbara pier.
When leaving Koh Bulon-Lae, the daily ferry departs at 9:00 A.M. Guests who charter the “Sirinavy” to return to the mainland, choose their departure time.
